Saint Faustina for Kids | The Message of Divine Mercy

Mar 24
2 min read

Helena becomes Sister Faustina and serves Jesus through ordinary convent work. This story follows her calling and the Divine Mercy message associated with the image of Jesus, its red and pale rays, and the prayer of trust.

The free lesson pages help children recall her life and connect devotion with action. A trust-and-mercy card invites a short prayer together with a practical deed of care, forgiveness, or generosity.

Available free on YouTube since March 24, 2026. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 5:34. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together

What was Faustina's name before religious life?

What ordinary work did she do as a sister?

What do the image's rays and words recall?

How can we respond to mercy?

Trust and a deed of mercy

Make a card with two spaces: A prayer of trust and A deed of mercy. In the first write Jesus, I trust in you. In the second draw a safe act such as comforting someone, sharing supplies, or apologizing. Add a story detail about Faustina's ordinary work and explain the connection.

A note for parents and teachers

The video includes a religious vision, illness, and death. Trust in Jesus does not replace medical care or require children to claim visions.

The vision belongs to Faustina's recorded private revelations, received within Church discernment; it is not a new Gospel. The image points to Jesus rather than acting as a magical object. The vision was in 1931; the video's broad opening phrase is not a precise date.

Pray together

Jesus, I trust in you. Help us receive your mercy and offer it through caring actions. Saint Faustina, pray for us. Amen.
