God With Us for Kids | The Word Became Flesh
At Bethlehem, Mary holds a real child who is also the eternal Son of God. This Christmas reflection invites children to consider the wonder of the Word becoming flesh and the shepherds discovering the Lord in a humble manger.
The teaching resources explain Emmanuel and the Incarnation in clear language for ages 7-11. They help children connect the love celebrated at Christmas with a practical act of care in daily life.
Available free on YouTube since December 15, 2025. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 2:04. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together
Who was the child Mary held?
Who came to the manger in wonder?
What does Emmanuel mean?
How can Christmas love continue after the feast?
From the manger to our home
Draw a path from a manger to a home or classroom. Along it add three stepping stones labeled prayer, welcome, and help. On the last stone write one small action that carries Christmas love into an ordinary day. Explain why it connects to Jesus' coming near.
A note for parents and teachers
This is a poetic reflection on John 1 and Luke 2. The Son did not begin to exist at Christmas or stop being God. God's presence does not remove every hardship.
Pray together
Jesus, God with us, thank you for becoming one of us. Help us welcome your love and care for others. Amen.
