Epiphany for Kids | Following the Light to Jesus

Dec 29, 2025
2 min read

The Magi follow a star, encounter Herod, and finally find Jesus with Mary. Their worship and gifts point toward the Savior whose light is for every nation.

Use the video and free teaching pages to trace the journey and discuss its meaning. Children distinguish the Gospel account from familiar traditional details, then plan a gift of time or service they can offer in love.

Available free on YouTube since December 29, 2025. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 4:05. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together

What were the Magi seeking?

What gifts did they bring?

Why did they go home another way?

What does their visit show about Jesus?

A journey and a gift

Draw a path with four stops: Star, Jerusalem, Jesus, and Home Another Way. Add one word describing the Magi's response at each stop. In a gift box at the center write a safe act of service you can offer Jesus by helping someone this week.

A note for parents and teachers

Matthew names three gifts but does not specify three Magi, their names, or camels. Those are traditional images. Gift meanings are Christian interpretation, not words Matthew attributes to the Magi.

Pray together

Jesus, light for every nation, guide us toward you. Help us offer our gifts with love. Amen.
