Palm Sunday for Kids | Walking with Jesus into Holy Week
Cloaks cover the road, palms wave, and the crowd cries Hosanna as Jesus enters Jerusalem. This reflection looks beyond the excitement to the gentle King who continues toward the cross and the Resurrection.
The resources help children recall the welcome and begin Holy Week with a thoughtful response. A paper palm holds a plan for prayer, reading the Gospel with an adult, and a small act of love.

Talk about it together
How did people welcome Jesus?
What kind of king does the reflection describe?
Where does the road of Holy Week lead?
How can you stay close to Jesus this week?
A palm with a prayer
Make a paper palm leaf. On one side write Hosanna and a story detail from Jesus' entry. On the other write a simple plan for Holy Week: one prayer, one Gospel reading with an adult, and one kind action. Explain how each helps you walk with Jesus.
A note for parents and teachers
This is a devotional reflection; its statements about the whole crowd's expectations are interpretations. Follow the Gospel and avoid collective blame toward Jewish people. Children need not seek hardship to follow Jesus.
Pray together
Jesus, our gentle King, help us stay near you through Holy Week and share your love with others. Amen.
