Lent Week 2 for Kids | The Transfiguration
Peter, James, and John follow Jesus up a mountain and see his glory. The Father's voice tells them to listen to the beloved Son before they return to the road below.
This Lenten reflection considers how the light strengthens the disciples for what lies ahead. The free resources recall the Gospel event and help children make a truthful reminder of hope for their own difficult moments.

Talk about it together
Which disciples went with Jesus?
What changed as they watched Jesus?
What did the Father tell them to do?
How can a good reminder help during difficulty?
Light to remember
Draw a mountain and a path continuing down. At the top write Listen to Jesus. Along the lower path place three reminders: a Gospel word, a prayer, and a trusted helper. Choose one reminder to keep on a small card for a difficult school or family moment.
A note for parents and teachers
The video is a focused reflection, not an exhaustive retelling of Matthew 17; it omits Moses and Elijah. Ordinary feelings of peace differ from the unique Transfiguration. Faith does not require a dramatic experience.
Pray together
Jesus, help us listen to you. Give us hope and courage for the road ahead. Amen.
