Millions heard Fulton Sheen speak, but the story begins with the quiet prayer and careful work behind his voice. From an altar boy’s broken cruet to a bishop’s broadcasts, his gifts became a way to help people meet Jesus.

The free teaching pages invite children to begin with a few minutes of prayer and a gift used for service. The original video predates his September 24, 2026 beatification; these resources use his current title, Blessed.

Available free on YouTube since September 18, 2026. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 6:10. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together

What quiet promise did Sheen make as a priest?

Did his speaking gift remove the need for work?

Why did he teach through radio and television?

What prayer habit could you begin?

Before I share my gift

On a card, name a gift you enjoy, one practice that helps it grow, and one person it can serve. Add a short prayer before the task. Choose a realistic action without trying to become famous or copy an adult schedule.

A note for parents and teachers

The retelling dramatizes scenes and anecdotes. Its original September 18, 2026 release calls Sheen Venerable and anticipates his September 24 beatification; these resources use the current title, Blessed. Children need not copy an hour-long adult prayer habit. Tiredness or distraction is not proof of failed prayer.

Pray together

Jesus, help us make time for you, use our gifts carefully, and carry your love to the people around us. Blessed Fulton, pray for us. Amen.
