Advent Week 2 for Kids | The Nativity Story of Peace
This Advent reflection returns to Bethlehem: Mary lays Jesus in a manger, angels announce good news, and shepherds come to see the Savior. Its quiet, poetic telling invites children to consider the humility of God's coming among us.
The free leader guide and student pages help children recall the Nativity, explain why the setting matters, and practice a peaceful welcome in their own homes and classrooms.
Available free on YouTube since November 20, 2025. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 6:05. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together
Where was Jesus laid after his birth?
What news did the angels bring?
Why is the humble setting important?
How can you help make peace in an ordinary moment?
A manger welcome
Make a paper welcome mat for the manger. On its corners write or draw four ways to welcome another person: listen, make room, speak kindly, and share. Choose one for a real situation this week and rehearse respectful words with a partner.
A note for parents and teachers
This illustrated reflection adds poetic scene-setting to Luke 2. Details about Mary's private thoughts, animals, and sounds are not all specified in Scripture. Peace does not mean remaining in an unsafe situation.
Pray together
Jesus, Prince of Peace, thank you for coming close to us. Help us make room for others with kindness. Amen.
