Advent Week 4 for Kids | Love and the Second Coming
The fourth Advent reflection looks beyond Bethlehem to Jesus' promise to return in glory. It remembers his life, death, and Resurrection and invites children to trust that he remains near while the world waits for its renewal.
Use this video with a family, parish class, or Catholic school group. The free teaching pages distinguish the two comings of Jesus and turn hopeful waiting into a practical act of love today.
Available free on YouTube since November 20, 2025. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 2:26. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together
Which two comings does the reflection describe?
Has Jesus left us alone while we wait?
What hope does the ending offer?
How can our waiting become loving?
Between the two comings
Fold paper into three panels: Bethlehem, Today, and Jesus in Glory. Draw one story image in each outside panel. In the middle, write a loving action for today and decide when to do it. Share how waiting changes when we trust Jesus.
A note for parents and teachers
This is an Advent reflection, not a schedule of future events. Christian hope does not require denying grief or forcing a child to feel cheerful.
Pray together
Jesus, thank you for coming to us. Help us wait with hope and show your love today. Amen.
