Our Lady of Lourdes and Bernadette for Kids | Prayer, Faith, and Healing
Bernadette reports seeing a lady at the grotto of Massabielle and shares a message of prayer. This illustrated story follows the Lourdes apparitions, the spring, the title Immaculate Conception, and her later quiet life as a religious sister.
The free teaching pages help children recall the story with clear distinctions between Scripture and Church-approved apparition testimony. A paper pilgrimage connects prayer and truthful witness with gentle, practical care for someone who is sick.
Available free on YouTube since April 13, 2026. Watch the complete video above. Runtime: 4:01. Suggested ages: about 7–11.

Talk about it together
Where did Bernadette report seeing the lady?
What name did the lady give?
How did Bernadette respond to attention and questioning?
Does Lourdes water guarantee healing?
A pilgrimage of caring
Draw three stops on a paper pilgrimage: Pray, Tell the Truth, and Care. At each add a Bernadette story detail or a respectful response. At Care write a safe act for someone sick, such as an adult-approved card or prayer. Explain why care continues whether healing occurs or not.
A note for parents and teachers
The story includes illness and death. Explain that Lourdes water is not magic, recovery is not guaranteed, and prayer belongs with medical care and respectful support.
The video simplifies the apparition sequence: the spring was discovered on February 25, 1858, before Mary gave her name on March 25. The Church approved the Lourdes apparitions after investigation. Private revelation does not replace the Gospel. Water is not magic; recovery is not proof of stronger faith.
Pray together
Jesus, comfort all who are sick. Mary and Saint Bernadette, pray for us and help us serve with humble love. Amen.
