Talk together
Why was Joseph put in prison?
Whom did Joseph credit for understanding dreams?
What did Pharaoh's dreams mean?
How did Joseph prepare and help?
Try one faithful choice
Set out five paper grain cards. Put one in a paper storehouse and discuss saving a share during plenty. Then choose a real act of responsible care, such as reducing food waste or helping a supervised food collection.
Pray together
Lord, give us courage to do right, patience in difficulty, and wisdom to use our gifts to help others. Amen.
For parents and teachers
Includes enslavement, a false accusation about attempted harm, prison, and the baker's execution, without a graphic account. Explain marriage boundaries simply and respectfully. Joseph could seek freedom; faithful work does not make unjust treatment acceptable. Not all dreams carry messages, and children should not attempt fortune-telling.
The story uses animated illustrations and dramatized dialogue to tell the biblical narrative. Read the Scripture passage together and pause for questions as needed.
