Adam and Eve: The Voice in the Garden for Kids
Updated: Oct 3
God gives Adam and Eve a garden filled with good things, but another voice invites distrust. After both choose wrongly, they hide and blame—yet God continues to care and promises that evil will not have the final word.
Based on Genesis 2-3, this Catholic story connects the Fall with the promise fulfilled in Jesus. Its teaching pages explain responsibility and original sin carefully while inviting truth, forgiveness, and hope.

Talk about it together
How did the serpent tempt Eve?
Who made the wrong choice?
Did God stop caring for them?
What can we do after a wrong choice?
Come out of hiding
Use a pretend example: a borrowed book is damaged. Make three cards: tell the truth, ask for help, and repair what is possible. Arrange a safe plan without asking children to disclose private sins or reenacting temptation.
A note for parents and teachers
The video paraphrases Genesis 2-3 and dramatizes details, then explains Catholic teaching about original sin and salvation in Christ. Original sin is inherited as a condition, not personal guilt for Adam’s act. The text does not name the fruit as an apple. Illness is not evidence of an individual’s wrongdoing.
Pray together
God, when we choose wrongly, help us tell the truth and ask forgiveness. Thank you for your mercy and for Jesus, our Savior. Amen.
